As part of my Dental elective, I'll be spending three weeks volunteering at 'Angkor Hospital For Children' in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I will then be experiencing my first travelling adventure....around the Thailand and Malaysian islands.
I'm very excited about the whole travelling experience but also about meeting the Cambodian kids and carrying out lots of dental treatment for them. I think this will be a real eye opener into the health and dental issues of some of the most deprived areas in the world, and I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to the Cambodian culture!
So with about eight weeks until departure, and a bit more preparation in terms of immunisations, admin and planning; at least I've got the ball rolling on the blog front - which should help keep you up to date with my travels of summer 2013! :-)
